Bespoke oak framing with Perspex, ready for hanging

This painting is a visualisation of a particular confusing state of mind, the feeling of being somewhat content yet not fulfilled. It's not a depression itself, perhaps in its core it's an existential crisis of sorts. It's that feeling when everything is good and comfortable yet not satisfying. The feeling of not catching something or not holding something that feels like real life or worthwhile. Being lost in the overload of information, among all the possibilities and opportunities that are seemingly there on offer. The illusions our time gives to us. The imaginary endless choices it tricks with. The disillusions and hollows it leaves us with. It is being lost in comfort, it is drifting, it is being taken by the current and carried to wherever it is going to, while watching the life mirages flicker by, in all that pleasant comfort.

The soft colours of this painting truly open up their beauty when in soft natural changing light or twilight. Unlike most of pictures absolutely doesn't like to be fully lit up with a bright direct light. It is really quite something special how beautifully it interacts with shadow and fleeting light. It would also look absolutely gorgeous in the darkest spot of the house or on a black background without any extra illumination.

It is beautifully presented in a bespoke oak frame with Perspex, finished in washed out by the sea effect. Please note the dimensions stated are the outer measurements of the frame. The actual picture is 122H x 92W cm.
